hello, i'm sakanaito, but you can call me riyu!

I've been a self-taught freelance pixel animator since 2019.Since then I've brought countless people's characters to life in one form or another; from music videos, album art, indie games, and of course vtuber asset creation.My art has featured as 'daily deviations' several times on the website 'deviantART' as well.My interest in pixel art started sometime in 2011 with a mix of Pokemon Black and White and editing sprites from various flash games. I always dreamed about making games myself, but I am putting them to the side for now to focus on art.Though seeing characters that I have designed come to life is an almost indescribable feeling.I hope that I can work with you to bring your visions to life.

Commission Terms of Service

General

  • References must clearly depict both design and color palettes. Video game Screenshots are OK as references if you provide proper color codes.

  • It is OK To use art for personal icons, site decor, etc if credited properly.

  • Unless paid for an NDA, works may be shared on Sakanaito's portfolio and/or socials.

Payment

  • If contacted first VIA VGEN, payment is taken in USD, through VGEN's payment process. I can accept both Stripe and Paypal there.

  • If discussed through Form, email or Discord, I will take payment VIA Paypal Invoice.

  • I take a small % upfront after the initial concept has been discussed.

  • Payment plans are available for orders over $75 USD

commercial usage

  • Broadcasting is the act of using the work on social media channels in order to drive others to monetarily support you, whether that be through donations, advertisements or sponsorships. (ex Vtubing, Youtube Videos, etc). The fee for commercial-use broadcasting is 1.5x the original price unless stated otherwise.

  • Merchandising is the redistrubuiton of art via sold physical goods(ex stickers, t-shirts, charms). The starting fee for merchandising is 2x the original price unless agreed otherwise.

  • Redistribution is the repackaging of commissioned art with the intentions of making profit (ie album art, video games, etc). The base fee for redistribution is 2x the original price unless stated otherwise.
